On July 15th, 2007 we arrived at Chaa Creek Resort just outside of San Ignacio, Belize. We are certainly in the thick of the jungle. |

Just an hour and 30 minutes (by van) from Chaa Creek is Jaguar Paw Jungle Resort. Cave tubing is the main attraction. |

We picked a trip of medium length. It was a short 20 minute hike followed by a refreshing, hour long, tubing adventure. Afterward we had lunch at Jaguar Paw's restaurant. It was a great time. |
The Guatemala border is just a 10 minute drive from Chaa Creek. When we returned from Jaguar Paw, half of us headed to the border to drink sodas from plastic bags. :) |

| Xunantunich, 30 minutes from Chaa Creek, is one of my favorite Mayan sites of all time. The area around the ruins is grassy. There is a nice breeze most of the time and the view from the top is fantastic. |

Chaa Creek has it's own stables. We took a 90 minute through the jungle. Even the beginner rides can be challenging. We saw unexcavated Mayan ruins along the way. |
| Chaa Creek is 90 minutes from the Belize City airport. From there it was a 12 minute flight at 1500 feet to San Pedro. When we arrived, the staff from Victoria House was waiting to drive us in golf carts to our home away from home, Casa Azul. |  |

The diving and snorkeling were some of the best we have ever encountered. This is the best place to get a child (or adult) started in either sport. The Dive Master was throughout and very safe. 4 people in our group took the introductory SCUB course while we were at Victoria House. |
